PUBLIC BROADCAST OF STATEMENTS IN AIRBUS COMPLIANCE APPEAL PROCEEDINGS
At the request of the participants in the dispute “European Communities
and Certain Member States – Measures Affecting Trade in Large Civil
Aircraft – Recourse to Article 21.5 of the DSU” (DS316), the Appellate
Body Division hearing the appeal has decided to authorize observation of
the oral hearing by WTO members and the general public. Given the
participants’ request to protect certain sensitive business information,
public observation will be limited to the opening statements and will
take place via delayed broadcast.
